Cathia will moderate a panel discussion with women preppers as they present what the following topics mean to them.

Prepping is often framed around emergency preparedness (which while important, is not everything). This presentation will focus more on:

• Overall self-sufficiency strategies
• An abundance mindset: instead of focusing on all possible emergency scenarios, the focus will be on gaining independence from centralized food systems, centralized medicine, centralized utilities, etc.
• A feminine perspective will be considered on how the above may be achieved.

Bio Cathia Badiere:

Cathia is a multifaceted professional with expertise in economics, industrial relations, and business analytics. With a background as a director at a national union, senior policy advisor for the Government of Ontario, and various consulting roles, Cathia has honed her skills across the public sector, unions, and industry associations. Motivated by a desire for autonomy and a commitment to holistic health, she transitioned from traditional sectors to focus on independence from centralized systems. As a biohacker and co-founder of Off the Grid Communities, Cathia pioneers alternative living solutions, offering affordable land co-ownership in pristine wilderness settings with a focus on sustainability and self-sufficiency.
